Emily's Parade

This was our sixth year attending Emily's Parade, a motorcycle parade, 5k, and celebration honoring the life of Emily Keyes, who was a victim of a high school shooting in Bailey, CO. We went the first year we were out here with Jen's Aunt Jeje and Uncle George because Jeje knew Emily and wanted to go to offer her support. We have been every year since, and it has become a little tradition of ours. Check out this article written about the event, and make sure you read it all - we are famous!

Fall Hike

This past Sunday we went for a hike to see fall color! Tim and Krista joined us well. It was peak time at Golden Gate Canyon State park....we've been there before, but we didn't want to go somewhere too far in case Grey wasn't digging the hiking backpack, it had been a little while since we used it with him. We did a 4 mile hike, and ended at an open meadow which made for some really nice panoramic shots! The colors were so brilliant! Aspens are usually pretty quick about changing and the losing their leaves, so we were lucky to see so much color in one area. Grey did pretty well, even for being sick for the whole weekend :( After hiking back to the car we met Joe and Stephanie in downtown Golden at Woody's for the pizza lunch buffet....soooo good!
