Grey and gardens

Well, school is wrapping up and we are enjoying out last few weeks with Granny Nanny. We are still not quite sure what we will do when she leaves (aren't mom and dad going to buy a condo in Denver some time soon?). We have been so blessed to have her here with baby Grey. Anyways, we have been having fun doing spring gardening activities and hanging out with our Grey. Hope you like the pics!Mary planting wave petunias.

Blooming bush that Justin calls "English white balls." I am pretty sure he made up that name.

Yes, we took a picture of a picture. We hope to have better versions mailed out to all of you soon.

Look at how much is coming up in the garden! Radishes, lettuce, onion, sugar snap peas, basil and tomatoes in the walls of water. Thanks, Amy, for all the seeds!!

Garden, Flowers, and Grey

Since Erica posted about her garden then I guess it's our turn! Ours is just a little smaller...haha. Last year was our first year with our garden so we didn't really know what to expect, but we ended up having really good luck! So this year all we had to do to get started was to add a little bit of new compost and buy new seed. Our first round of seeds just started coming up! So far we have planted carrots, basil, beets!, radishes, sugar snap peas, 3 types of lettuce, broccoli, basil, cherry tomato plants, and spinach. Below are some pics of the garden progress, as well as some of our flowers, and of course Grey dog.

Link to Greyson's 3 month pics

Today we had an exciting day of going to the farmer's market, going to a plant sale at the Denver Botanic Gardens, playdate with Greyson's girlfriend Raeana, and getting Grey's 3 month pics! Below are a few pics and the link to the Sears site to view the pics taken during the photo shoot.

Fuzzi Bunz

Greyson is in cloth diapers!

We inherited twelve Fuzzi Bunz and inserts from a friend at work, and we have been trying them out this weekend. So far, we are really liking them, but we will see how we feel after washing them. They are pretty cool - kind of what we were wanting from the beginning, something that is earth-friendly but easy to use and won't leak. These have a cool snap system that you can see above, and they have a fleece inside that wicks away the wet feeling with a hemp insert that absorbs all the liquid stuff. I think this will work out perfectly too because we were wanting some sort of cloth system, but didn't want to spend lots on something before we knew it would work for us. So, this lets us try this out before putting lots of money into it! (We looked online, the set of twelve with inserts retails about $300). If we like it, they make Fuzzi Bunz that are adjustable one size fits all, which Grey could use up until he is out of diapers, which would be pretty awesome. Right now we just have size small, which will fit him for a long time, but not forever. We will keep you posted on how we like them!

In other Grey news, he went 10.5 hours between feedings on Saturday night! And we were so tired that we didn't even wake up in a panic! (But I was in quite a bit of pain when I woke up... but it was worth it to sleep 8 hours straight!!)
