F.O.O.L. #2

More fruits of our labor!! This time: tomatoes, onions, and basil. We traded some toms for zukes and peppers with a neighbor. We pulled lettuce today, and we still have more growing that we don't know if we can eat!!!
On the menu: pesto, salsa, pasta sauce (for the freezer), zuke bread and grilled zukes. Yummm.

Justin with tons of toms in front of monster lettuce (these are the ones that made it - they haven't bolted yet).

The plant was too heavy for it's cage, so we secured the cage to the nearby tree, and now the string is the only thing holding the plant up. There are so many tomatoes hiding that we are worried we won't see them and they will go bad!!

Basil in bottom right corner.

wow, your tomatoes look great! Are those romas? I've had lots of cherry tomatoes so far and a few regular tomatoes. I love this time of year!

Yeah they are Roma's and they make amazing salsa! We made a huge batch last night and ate it all! Maybe we should swap for some of your cherry ones! Are they good?
