Hiking
Yesterday, Mary & I got together with Tim & Krista (who just married and moved to CO), and did some hiking up near Nederland. The trail was about 3 miles in to a beautiful lake where we ate lunch. The trail is great on the way up, you pass numerous little waterfalls, and follow a stream most of the time. Mary has even claimed this to be her favorite trail in CO!
Camping on Lake Dillon
Last week, Mary & I celebrated our 3rd Anniversary (a little late), by camping up on Lake Dillon near Frisco, CO. This was great because it combined everything we love of CO & MI! There were lots of mountains, and we got to do lake activities too. It was very relaxing, we read a lot, ate good food, and had a fire every night. We want to go back already!

Tim & Krista's Wedding
2 weeks ago, our friends got married back in MI. We were there for a week to partake in all of the wedding activities: Bar Crawl, Bachelor Party (not allowed to show pics of this), the Ceremony, and reception. Justin was the best man for Tim. We had a great time!
During the day of the Bachelor Party the guys got together for Whirlyball (google it, it's awesome!)

Sam & Sophie in the Summer
Sammie & Sophie have a new summer game, well really it's just Sophie. Sam lays under the couch, and Sophie tries to get him. She gets upset when she can't get him, I'm pretty sure Sam hates this game. Towards the end of the video, Sophie gets severely distracted by the tag on the couch though...not much of an attention span! Enjoy.
Camping on the Arkansas River
Last weekend we joined up with Erica (after she was camping with Carter), filled the car with gear & dogs, and headed south/southwest for a couple of nights of camping. We stayed in Arkansas Headwaters State Park, or at least pretty close to it. We had a nice campsite, it was kind of desert like, very different than most camping in Colorado. Our campsite was nestled in a valley between two mountain ranges, and sat on the Arkansas river, which means we got to see lots of rafters...no not the dinosaur. Every night we made dinner on the camp fire, and were able to get a couple of day trips in as well. We went to the Royal Gorge (touristy & expensive, but very cool), ate lunch in Canon (pronounced canyon) City, and went on some small hikes. Very fun couple of night... check out the pics below.
