We have had a restful Winter Break so far. We are super lucky to be home with baby Grey since he caught a nasty cold from Papa. He is stuffed up all the time, nose is running constantly, and he has thrown up a few times from the coughing spells :/. He has still been sleeping well, and actually taking formula from us (which he NEVER would do before) but has pretty much stopped eating all solid food for us. Hopefully he feels better soon! But at least we can be with him all day when he is not feeling well.
Anyways, here is a summary of our last few days...
Saturday morning we spent all morning wrapping and shipping our last presents to Michigan. We thought we would never finish! For lunch, we used up a Groupon that was expiring soon and went to a fancy Asian food place. It was good we went at lunch because the place was really nice, and here we come in with this snotty baby. So we took over a large booth, and baby was able to walk back and forth on the bench, eating brown rice and tofu from my plate. Saturday night, Grey went to bed early, so we watched Gnomeo and Juliet sans baby. It was so much fun! Sunday was church and groceries, then a pizza party at Aunt Jen's for the Bronco game. Monday we did pretty much nothing; we had lots of plans to go out, but Grey was just so cranky that we decided to stay closer to home during the day. Monday night, we had a "family dinner" with our work family, which consists of a bunch of mid-westerners who all moved out around the same time and started working at our school. We have been having family dinners for quite some time, but with the addition of more kids, it has been more and more difficult to get together. Well, we finally made it happen yesterday, and it was nice to let the kids play and hang out with the adults. Even though the weather was bad and we were missing a few people, it was still a great time.
Today, we got a little stir-crazy and decided to take Grey to paint a Christmas plate at a paint-your-own pottery studio. We want to make it an annual event, so we started this year and we loved it!
Later this week, we have a few fun Denver-y things, such as going to see Santa at the mall, visiting the big Cherry Creek toy store, and using more Groupons to travel to restaurants in Denver that we have never been to before.
Enjoy these pics!

Family dinner with teaching friends and spouses.

Madeline (Raeana's sister) played the xylophone and both babies danced and danced... So cute!

Grey climbed stairs for the first time! (well, this was the first time he has been around stairs in like 2 months, so really not that impressive if you think about it)

Getting ready to paint Grey's hand

Look at my beautiful artwork!

Good job Papa!
