F.O.O.L. #2
More fruits of our labor!! This time: tomatoes, onions, and basil. We traded some toms for zukes and peppers with a neighbor. We pulled lettuce today, and we still have more growing that we don't know if we can eat!!!
On the menu: pesto, salsa, pasta sauce (for the freezer), zuke bread and grilled zukes. Yummm.
Justin with tons of toms in front of monster lettuce (these are the ones that made it - they haven't bolted yet).

a nice shot of the whole body with a part of an arm showing on top. If you look closely, you can see the features of the face.
another good one of the whole bodyMary has been feeling better recently, in the beginning, she was sick all the time and slept about 18 hours a day (no joke). She claims it was like being hung over all the time. Now she isn't as nauseous, but school does make her tired (especially since most of her core teaching time is from 11-3). She is in full-on baby mode, claiming that no clothes fit her and she has nothing to wear. I just tell her that it is maternal storage tissue because that is what one pregnancy book told me to call it instead of fat. Soon we will post the two pics we have documenting the growth of her belly.

Date Night!
Well we decided that even though we went camping for our anniversary, we really didn't have a date night to celebrate. SO last night we decided to do some fun things we don't usually do! Mary got out of her master's class at 2, and then we went straight to the Denver Botanical Gardens. We have never been there in the summer, and they also had a sculpture art show, so it was pretty neat to see. Afterwards, we went to mary's favorite restaurant, Watercourse. Which if course is all vegetarian...but really good! Then we came home and I had an art table set up for us to create some bird themed art to hang up on our walls. Then we made mint chocolate chip malts, and had a movie night! It was a lot of fun, and we both decided we are going to try to do a night like this at least once a month! Enjoy the pics!

Anniversary Camping
We have started to make this an annual event to go camping for our anniversary! This year we chose the same location as last year, Peak One Campground on Lake Dillon up in Frisco. We were able to get a campsite right on the water which is really great...it reminds us a lot of camping back in MI! Frisco is a little mountain town nearby and surrounded by mountains on all sides...which provides for some pretty spectacular views! Also, Breckenridge is only a 15 minute drive away, so we would go there after dinner for ice cream or cookies! Enjoy the pics, thanks for checking in!

Our Oregon Trip!
Last week we got back from a very relaxing, and very eventful trip to Hillsboro, Oregon to be with Mary's sister and family! We arrived a few days before Erica, Carter, Joe, Mom and Dad joined us. It was great to get in a lot of one-on-one time before the craziness ensued...haha. We took part in MANY activities, and we really loved doing them all. But it was very nice just to spend time with family and kids. Highlights included: Hillsboro farmer's market, watching Bunny and James at VBS, watching the kids play on the ipad, helping the Curl's get a new iMac (we converted them!), downtown Portland for breweries and cupcakes, Dinosaurs at the Zoo (Justin really liked this), exploring new restaurants, disc golf in the Curls yard, and at a really nice course in the country, putting together a bird puzzle, waterfalls, Columbia river gorge, Red Robin..."yummm", IKEA, ok there were lots of things! The pics show a lot of those activites...a big thank you to the Curl's for hosting us, and feeding us! It was great, can't wait to go back!
Horning Hideout...it was part farm, part fishing pond, part disc golf, part concert venue...and apparently part Peacock home...very cool!
Justin throwing down a big hill @ Hornings Hideout...very cool hole!
