Tiger's Game!

On Saturday night we went to see the Tiger's play the Rockies! It was very cool to see the two teams play! Our friends Krysta and Mike got us the tickets, and they were very good! Sec. 110 just 36 rows up from the field. The first few innings started off pretty good, but pretty much for the next 4 innings Greyson did NOT want any part of the game. He was pretty inconsolable, and was just WAY over tired. It might have been because the Tigers were losing. We both just felt bad for him, he could not get comfortable, and not even Uncle Joe or Auntie Erica could help (they were at the game also). He eventually calmed down for the last couple innings, and completely zonked out in the sling. The pics below show the non-crying times. We may have to practice going to more baseball games! All in all it was a very fun experience taking Grey to his first baseball game!

Randoms...

Here are a few neat pics taken over the last couple of days! No real theme here...just fun.

We are borrowing an exersaucer from our rich neighbors. It's very nice, and Grey loves it!

We wish this was our rose, but it belongs to our neighbor Laura. She is a very good gardner, and neighbor. The light was hitting it last night in such a cool way.

Close up of the center

This is actually one of our roses! our rose bush in the back has about 50 (no kidding) buds that are all about to open!

A few nights ago this very HUGE cloud rolled just over our house...reminded me of being back in MI!

Very blue sky behind it

I decided to open up the painting app on the ipad, and here's what Grey made! He definitely "drew" with his right hand, and his left arm was flailing uncontrollably and happened to change the color to orange, blue, then stars!

He loves him some mirrors!

Outside

This weekend we were able to work a little bit outside...finishing touches on the flower gardens, and veggies gardens. We also cleaned and rearranged the back patio....it looked so nice that we decided to have our dinner out there tonight! Enjoy the pics!

Back patio. Cleaned from spring pollen and dust, with rearranged furniture. We made pizzas on the grill tonight...mmmm! Also, Grey is liking his new exersaucer!

Gardens! Everything is up now...our eaten veggies are starting to comeback some. We also added new mulch today in the walkways between the beds.

Our tomatoes are doing well, especially our yellow cherry tomato.

Butternut Squash (aka Squaternut Bosh)

Justin harvesting the first veggies of the year!

Most of the radishes are ready

We picked a few radishes and ate those right away, and then put basil and spinach on our grilled pizzas!

Flower garden with newly added mulch, and Grey taking a nap in the grass.

Peonies in the backyard. They are almost about to go...this will be updated.

All the work tired out Grey. He even had to strip down to just his diaper.

One night Justin was carrying around Greyson, and when he looked down Grey was carrying around a spider plant baby...hahahaha. He really likes to grab things now I guess!

4 month checkup

This past Wednesday was Greyson's 4 month check-up! Still in awe over how fast 4 months can go! His check-up was very successful. He is now just over 14 pounds and his head circumference is normal too...he is in around the 50th percentile for those things. His height, however, is in the 90th percentile! He is just over 26 inches long..we'll see how long that lasts (insert Justin short jokes here). The only down side to the doctors visit is that he got a few immunizations. We opted out of getting them at 2 months because we wanted to research them a bit more in depth. He ended up getting 4 shots at this visit. Seems like a lot, but we chose 4 specific ones due to the fact that a lot of the time they end up putting multiple immunizations into one syringe, but we didn't want everything they were offering. The nurse was quick though, and there ended up being more crying from Mary than Grey! hehe.. Below are pics from our excursion...enjoy!

"Hey 2 of me! YEAH!"

"Wait...what? Oh, it's just my reflection...got it. darn."

Ticker sounds good

Mr. Leggs was there to comfort me...Thanks Auntie Erica!

Thank You Granny Nanny!

For the last two months you have been there for Greyson, you took care of his every need. We are so lucky have you be such a large part of his life at such a young age. We always know you two will have a special bond due to this time together. We couldn't have done it without you. We love you so much, and miss you already...THANK YOU GRANDMA! Love...Mary, Justin, and Greyson.

p.s. You need to come back and show us how to make oatmeal, we had no idea what to make for breakfast this morning!

Grey and Garden...again

Here is our latest Grey and Garden update! Grey is changing so much! He talks a lot more, grabs at almost everything, and still loves to smile! He is the cutest little guy ever, but we may be partial. Our garden is completely planted, and everything is coming up great...even our squash! The only problem we are having are the night time critters. Our sugar snap peas are being eaten down almost daily, but Justin put up the trellis so hopefully that will help! Also, we think it's the squirrels, but sometimes we find our plants completely out of the ground, not eaten, not even damaged, just uprooted! So we end up planting things twice! Oh well, everything else is doing great and we are so happy with the results! Enjoy the pics...

Grey on a HOT day....sooo tired

Zoning out with Mr. Leggs

Our neighbor Laura gave us a whole bouquet of her peonies. They smelled SO sweet!!

More peonies

Bush beans pushing through... grow guys, grow!!

Click to enlarge... we have a visitor coming in the night to munch on our peas!!!!! They all used to have the spirally things like you see on the right side. To remedy this situation, we placed a trellis over them (they need it anyways) and placed our gaudy plastic flamingo nearby to guard them. I think it is working.

Some columbines that dad brought from Ohio - this was has SOOOOO many blossoms!! They love Colorado.

Typical weekday afternoon - we walked the gardens, walked to the grocery store, and came home to sit on the front porch while Grey finished his nap in the stroller.

Our gardens! Looking good, the tomtoms are very happy, as is the spinach. The basil also is loving life, and every other thing we planted is coming up, they are just kind of small now.

Tomato blossoms!!! This is a yellow cherry plant.

Hi Sammy and Sophie. We still love you.

Grey and gardens

Well, school is wrapping up and we are enjoying out last few weeks with Granny Nanny. We are still not quite sure what we will do when she leaves (aren't mom and dad going to buy a condo in Denver some time soon?). We have been so blessed to have her here with baby Grey. Anyways, we have been having fun doing spring gardening activities and hanging out with our Grey. Hope you like the pics!Mary planting wave petunias.

Blooming bush that Justin calls "English white balls." I am pretty sure he made up that name.

Yes, we took a picture of a picture. We hope to have better versions mailed out to all of you soon.

Baby Angel

Look at how much is coming up in the garden! Radishes, lettuce, onion, sugar snap peas, basil and tomatoes in the walls of water. Thanks, Amy, for all the seeds!!
