hey all - just a quick update, because I know people were wondering... house inspection was today!
The guy found no problems with the major systems of the house! There were some things that were old (thee older outlets, air conditioner pump, fan in bathroom), but nothing that was a deal-breaker as far as the purchase is concerned, and nothing that had to be fixed right away.
HOWEVER --- the sewer scope guy came and it wasn't the same story with him. The sewer line has two breaks, one hole, and one sagging part in the line from the house to the street. The guy recommended a total replacement - about $3k - instead of singular fixes - about $1.5K - because the line is clay, and it will start getting holes and breaks more frequently as time passes. He said off the record that the fixes could wait a few years, but it will be nice to either get the money off the house or get it fixed right now. SO, that will be the biggest issue that we will need to negotiate. I am so happy that today pretty much passed without anything huge coming out! Yeah for us!!!!

Any word on the negotiations?? I'm so happy the inspection went relatively well!!
The seller has until the 14th to respond with what we are asking for. We want a new roof, furnace to be cleaned, and the sewer to be snaked. So we will see by then! We will keep you posted.
